Meet The Team

Clinical Psychologist
Maddy is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at Western Sydney University. She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Maddy enjoys working with children, adolescents, and their families, and is passionate about supporting young people through social, emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. She takes a warm, collaborative, and neuroaffirming approach, valuing each child or young person's individuality and working to understand their experiences within the context of their family, school, and wider support network. Maddy also works with a select number of adult clients, where her approach and areas of interest are a good fit.
Building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is central to Maddy’s work. She collaborates closely with clients and their families to develop shared understanding and meaningful goals, and where appropriate, works alongside schools and other professionals to support consistency of care and positive outcomes across environments. Her approach is developmentally informed and integrative, drawing on evidence-based therapies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, and skills-based approaches to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, and adaptive coping.
Maddy also incorporates evidence-based family-focused approaches, including Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders, parent-based and parent management interventions for behavioural and emotional difficulties, and collaborative, skills-focused family work to support communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation within the family system. Family involvement is tailored to each child or young person’s developmental stage and individual needs.
Maddy integrates neuroaffirming, creative, strengths-based strategies that reflect each client’s interests and developmental stage, empowering them to develop greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and confidence in managing everyday challenges.
Her areas of clinical interest include emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive–compulsive presentations, trauma- and stressor-related difficulties, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions (particularly ADHD), and behavioural and social challenges across childhood and adolescence.
Maddy is available every Tuesday and every second Wednesday. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and exploring with her family, sports, spending time with friends, and being outdoors on the Central Coast—especially at the beach and in the ocean.
Maddy also provides a number of specialised assessments including:
- Cognitive Assessments/Intelligence Quotient (IQ) Assessments: School aged children aged 6-18 years;
