Clinical Psychologist
Dr Jessica Moore is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience working across diverse clinical settings — including hospitals, schools, prisons, university clinics, non-profit organisations, and private practice. She completed her PhD at the University of New South Wales and her Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University.
Jessica is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families through complex emotional and developmental challenges. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches, and her style is warm, collaborative, and deeply person-centred.
In addition to her clinical work, Jessica holds academic appointments as a university lecturer and is a Board-Approved Clinical Psychology Supervisor, providing supervision and mentorship to early-career psychologists and postgraduate trainees.
Jessica’s specialty areas include:
- Female ADHD Assessment and Treatment: Providing comprehensive assessment, education, and therapy for girls and women with ADHD, with a focus on self-understanding, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.
- Psycho-Oncology: Supporting children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced childhood cancer, including adjustment, coping, and treatment of the late psychological and neurocognitive effects of cancer and its treatment.
- Family Therapy: Working with families to strengthen communication, improve relationships, and navigate challenges such as parenting stress, behavioural difficulties, or adjustment to illness or trauma.
- Sleep difficulties in children: Particularly those who struggle with independent sleep.
Jessica also has extensive experience in treating anxiety disorders (separation anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, OCD), mood disorders, disruptive behaviour disorders (ODD, conduct disorder), adolescent stress and study concerns, school refusal, bullying, low self-esteem, family adjustment, and trauma-related difficulties.
Jessica integrates a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to each client’s needs, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Schema Therapy
- Behavioural Parent Training (BPT)
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
She is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and is registered to provide services under Medicare. Jessica is available on Tuesdays and Fridays, offering both in-person and telehealth consultations.
In addition to therapy, Jessica provides specialised neuropsychological assessments, including:
- Educational Assessments for Specific Learning Disorders (for school-aged children and university students)
- ADHD Assessments (for children, adolescents, and adults)
- Cognitive / IQ Assessments (for children and adults)
